This unique guitar, vocal and trumpet trio was formed 2009 as a result to the intense musical interchange between the Jazzwerkstatt Bern and the Jazzwerkstatt Vienna.
Together they take a distinctive path into the imaginative landscape of improvised jazz. The expressive yet understated guitar work of Rom is perfectly upheld by Eberle’s equally sensitive trumpet and fluegelhorn playing, whilst Schaerer’s use of ‘voice as instrument’ brings a vital textural and soulful detail. The result is an assured and evocative listen.
Their first album, Please Don’t Feed the Model, came 3rd in Austria’s Concerto magazine reader’s poll (Esperanza Spalding came 2nd) and entered the Austrian Top Ten Jazz Album List in 2011. 2013 They released their uncompromising second album “At The Age Of Six I Wanted To Be A Cook”.
